Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor (AATH) is thrilled to spearhead International Humor Month!

Each April, International Humor Month shines a spotlight on the power of humor to enrich lives, build connections, and spread joy. Initially founded by Larry Wilde, this incredible initiative was championed for years by Steve Wilson, whose dedication and vision elevated it into a cornerstone of the humor community. As Steve graciously passes the baton, AATH is honored to carry forward this legacy, ensuring that humor continues to inspire and uplift.

Andrew Tarvin Named Director of International Humor Month

Andrew, the world’s first Humor Engineer, is a speaker, author, and consultant who helps individuals and organizations use humor to be more effective and enjoyable. As the CEO of Humor That Works, he has worked with thousands of people at over 500 organizations, including Fortune 500 companies like IBM, P&G, and Microsoft.

Now, he’s bringing that expertise and energy to International Humor Month, leading the charge alongside a dedicated committee of humor enthusiasts. His passion for humor—and its power to connect, heal, and inspire—aligns perfectly with AATH’s mission. We can’t wait to see the creativity, energy, and (let’s be honest) top-tier dad jokes he brings to this role.

Join us in congratulating Andrew, and stay tuned for some seriously fun Humor Month plans ahead!
