NationalHumorMonth_LogoVerbiage_w-DS.png

We’re thrilled to announce that the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor (AATH) will now spearhead National Humor Month! This incredible initiative, celebrated each April, highlights the value of humor in enriching lives, building connections, and spreading joy.

Our deepest gratitude goes to Steve Wilson for his years of dedication and vision in championing National Humor Month, initially founded by Larry Wilde. Steve’s efforts have elevated this celebration into a cornerstone of the humor community. We are honored to carry forward this legacy as Steve graciously passes the baton to AATH.

To ensure the continued success of National Humor Month, we are opening an application period to find a Director of National Humor Month. This role will oversee the vision and activities of the month-long celebration, helping to amplify humor’s impact in communities worldwide.

Are you passionate about humor and its power to transform lives?

The Director of National Humor Month is a volunteer position within AATH, supported by a committee of humor enthusiasts and professionals. As Director, you'll collaborate with this team to develop, plan, and promote activities celebrating the power of humor throughout April. This role offers the chance to lead a nationally recognized initiative while working alongside a passionate community committed to spreading joy and connection through humor.

This is your chance to make a difference and shape the future of National Humor Month.
The application period is now open and will close on January 15.

Don’t wait—apply today!

Thank you for joining us as we embrace this exciting new chapter for AATH and the humor community.

Let’s make every month a little funnier together!
