Speaker Professional Categories
This describes the professional training, licensure, practice, and identification of the Speakers and Performers in this directory:
Author
This includes anyone who has published a book, contributed a chapter to another published book or authored an article that was published in a professional journal or magazine.
Allied Health Professionals
This includes: Recreational, Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapist, Medical Social Worker, child life specialist, play therapist, dietary, radiology technician, nurse aide, EMT or ambulance driver, paramedic, health educator, music and art therapist, etc.
Education
This would include: teachers, principals, counselors, professors, instructors, deans or chancellors from any educational arena.
Caring Clown
This includes only clowns who work in "therapeutic settings" such as nursing homes and hospitals. They can be called: Hospital Clowns, Clown Doctors, Care Clowns, Therapeutic clowns.
Mental Health Professional
This would include: psychologist, marriage, family and child counselors, clinical social workers, addiction counselors, psychiatric practitioners and psychiatric technicians, etc.
Physician
This includes: medical doctors, dentists, chiropractors, veterinarians.
Nurse
This includes all licensed and certified nurses: RN, LVN, LPN, Nurse practitioners, nurse midwife, nurse anesthetists whether working in clinical, administration, education or research settings.
Clergy/Spiritual Support
This includes all religions at all levels from Rabbi to Sunday school teacher, from Allah to Zen.
Business/Corporate
This includes leadership or staff positions in any business setting that is making money by providing a product or service to any industry.
Performer (magician, clown, musician, singer, comedian)
This will include hospital clowns, caring community clowns, and performers whose material are humorous and help the audience to laugh.
Other
This can include other professional designations like professional speaker/CSP.
